Novel #2
I'm asked frequently by readers when they'll get to read another book. Charge of the Beast, the first novel I wrote, will be my next publication.
The release date is in question. This is my baby. It will have to be better than ready.
There is a lot I've learned about the craft of writing since I began this novel in 2005. One thing I must ensure is that the plot flows smoothly, otherwise I'll lose my readers in a heartbeat. For this reason, I'm in the process of making some major plot adjustments to make it flow better. While the story will be the same, some of my original ideas will be scratched. I'm just going to have to let them go in order to make the story easier to understand.
Thus, I have a bit of work to do. My original goal was to release it by June. We'll see, but I'm not sure whether I can pull it off. Yes, writers must set goals and stick to them. My goal for this one is to be 100% sure that the transitions in the lives of my characters will be easy to understand.
If you're wondering about the reason it's taken twelve years to finish Charge of the Beast, well, one is that I endured writer's block for about 5 years. In combination with learning the art of writing, I've done close to twenty edits on the entire manuscript. It's a big project. When you read it, you'll recognize the reason. I had to do lots and lots of research on the topics. That's all I'll say for now other than I think this one will be even better than Deadly Transformation!
